We came to our house after dinner for after dinner drinks (no pictures). We had a very nice dinner with friends, and at the rate time is going, it will be Thanksgiving 2011 before we know it!

THANKSGIVING
Last year Shirlie, Cliff, Bob and I went to the Elks Club for Thanksgiving dinner. It was so nice not to have to cook and clean up afterwards, and Bob loved not having to eat turkey for the next two weeks, so we decided to make it an annual event. This year our numbers expanded to nine! We met at Shirlie and Cliff's for drinks before dinner. The women in the house and . . .

THE NEW HOUSE
We finally got moved into the new house on Monday. We are pretty much settled except for a few minor things. Below are the before and after pictures. (You can double click on the pictures to enlarge them.)
We are loving the new house with all it's extra room and big kitchen. Bob especially loves his 2-car garage. We have a little work to do yet -- the master bedroom is still a work in progress, and we have a little more to do in the front yard. I will put those pictures on the blog as soon as it is completed.

A FUN BIRTHDAY WITH FRIENDS!
A few days ago Jean suggested we go to Tucson to a Chinese restaurant and have Dim Sum. Shirlie and Cliff, Doc and Jean, and Bob and I decided we should go on my birthday. Dim Sum is sort of a Chinese smorgasbord except they bring the food around to you. It was very interesting and very good.
On our way back to Green Valley we stopped at Lowes and picked up plants and potting soil so we could put some plantings in at the new house.
After we were done planting, Doc, Jean, Shirlie, Cliff, Linda and Jim all came over to the new house to christen our patio. We had drinks and birthday cake! Oh and Baby, Cliff and Shirlie's dog, came too.
In the house on Calle Viva, we can't see the sunsets from our patio; but at the new house we get a view of both the sun rising and the sun setting. Below are two pictures of the sunsetting from our new patio.
I had a great birthday. They just come way to fast anymore!
