We planted our winter flowers on Sunday. Hopefully it won't be as cold here this winter as last, and they will last until spring.

The Cape Honeysuckle grew like a weed this summer

Shirlie came over for a glass of wine.
As did the Denzer's.  It was a beautiful evening.

SUMMER VACATION 2011 (PART VIII)

On our way back to Arizona, we stopped in Spanish Fork to see Justin, Lacie and the kids.  We all went out to the Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner.

Enjoying pizza and pasta!

SUMMER VACATION 2011 (PART VII)

Sun Valley:  this was our last time in our Sun Valley condo, so the whole gang went with us to "celebrate".  We sold our time share over the summer, and we were using last year's week.

The flowers in Sun Valley were exceptionally beautiful this year!

Jody, Vickey, and Kathy hamming it up!

A beautiful day to eat ice cream

The four amigos

Absolutely tranquil

More flowers

Even more flowers
We decided to go to The Kneadery for breakfast the morning the Jackman's and Ainsworth's were leaving. (The Salisbury's left the day before).
Again, hamming it up

We got someone to take a picture of the group.  A little bright in the sunshine!
The night before we were leaving, Mike and Nancy McAllister were in Sun Valley so we went to dinner.
In some ways we will miss going to the condo in Sun Valley, but we're still happy to have the timeshare sold.

SUMMER VACATION 2011 (PART VI)

After Boise we went to Twin Falls for a few days. We stayed with Vickey and Craig.
This is Vickey and Craig's house.  Their view is spectacular!

The first night there, Kathy and Terry came down for drinks! and dinner.

A very serious discussion.

Boomer wondering "What the heck!"
 Craig and Terry made salsa.
Lime in the eye?

Out on the deck.
Thursday night we went to visit Doc and Jean in Buhl.

Friday night.  We're making hors d'oeuvres.

Having dinner.
Jody's birthday was the week before so we had a late celebration.

Exercising!
There is a private 9-hole golf course down in the canyon. It's a beautiful setting.
There is still more to come.

SUMMER VACATION 2011 (PART V)

We were busy in Boise:  Some of the other things we did.

Jarod and Katie invited us out for dinner one night.  We had a great dinner and conversation; and Jazz loved Grandpa Bob!

We went to lunch one day with Emilee, my niece, and her two daughters, Ellie and Sophia.  Katie, Cari and Jordan joined us.

That evening we met Katie, Cari and Michelle at Murphy's for two-fers.

There's still more to come!

SUMMER VACATION 2011 (PART IV)

While we were in Boise we visited Kathryn Albertson Park.

The flowers were beautiful

The lily pads were taking over

Wood Ducks

These ducks were following us hoping for a treat!
Blue Heron

This house sits above the park and was once owned by Joe Albertson

Boise has many nice parks, but we think this one is the best.
